  1. Windows 10 Update Issues

Hi all, I recently switched and upgrade to the new windows version that dropped in March. However, since those updates I have noticed a few issues that have been popping up.

My bluetooth driver keeps disappearing from device manager and the laptop wont recognize it. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. I read that I could try to put my laptop to sleep and it worked. However, upon the next boot up the same thing happened. Bluetooth could not be detected. I have been doing this for the past few days now

My network card was working and then disappeared from device manager and I had no internet, one instance I had internet but not wifiweird and then I connected on ethernet cable and it worked for a bit. Now I reinstalled and uninstalled no changes, I put the laptop to sleep and it works.

Framework on boot up started failing by giving me a bunch of errors. I tried the repair tool it fixed it once then started to give me the prompt but close it out on computer boot up. Now, it's back to giving me the framework error.

I'm no computer genius but I think these are stemming from the latest updates. It has really messed up some stuff on windows. I did not have a single one of these issues prior to the March update being released and installed. I am posting this mostly to add to the growing body of reporting for issues with the windows update. But, I would like to fix this if anyone has any suggestions?

    :)

  2. New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

    Heres a couple examples:

    Here

    Here

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

    Windows 10 Update Issues

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
