    Windows 10 Update Lost & Won't Save my Settings


    After an automatic Windows 10 update, all my personalization settings were reset to default. I re-chose my preferred settings, but every time I logged on the settings were reset and Windows thinks I'm logging onto my laptop, to the internet, and using Microsoft Office programs for the very first time. I read a suggestion in a Forum to create a new User Account with Administrative rights, and BAM! All my original personalization settings were back the way they were before the Windows 10 update! Everything was great until Windows performed another automatic update, and now I'm back to this same frustrating situation. I really need a solution so my settings don't reset to default every time there's an update.

    Windows updates won't install!

    I had the same problem when i repaired my O/S, i forgot the steps on how to fixed it, but it is in the microsoft support forum.

    You have to reinstall the windows updater, then restart the updating service.
