Windows 10: Windows 10 update make me loose all my data

Yesterday, on october 3rd, I turned on my PC but it couldn't ge past the BIOS due to a booting issue. It detect my NVMe as a storage devices but it do not recognize it as a bootable devices. I went to the store where i bought my computer and they repaired it. They said the issue was caused by the lastest windows update I'm still on windows 10 .So, I lost everythings I had on my computer, every save, every files, everything.Any idea on how to get my data back ? or maybe anythings else to do ?

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Loosing data

Every month when Windows 10 updates I loose all my data. Like my favorites links and my tax code info. Is there a setting or a something that can be done Thanks
