Windows 10: Windows 10 Update & Now Computer won't Boot

A few weeks ago I took an update to Windows 10. When the system rebooted I received a white screen and an error saying "Can't read instructions form address blah, blah, blah'. I clicked OK and just had the white screen. Now, when I boot up I get the windows logo and the spinning disk but then only get the white screen. I have tried to boot up in safe mode by hitting ESC & F8 but it won't give me the boot menu. I have a Toshiba laptop, maybe 5 years old. I7 processor. Help??

I see ppl giving suggestions about clean boot. Now, how can we clean boot if the system won't start? Kmt.

windows 10 update to ideaplay tablet

I have an ideaplay MCR1015 tablet. It updated windows 10 and now won't boot up. The ideaplay logo shows, then the windows logo comes up, then very quickly (you can almost not see it) the message says that windows is finished updating and is restarting
the computer. This happens continuously until you finally shut off the computer. It's stuck in the loop. What do I do?

The update may not have worked for some reason - do you have a backup to recover from? It maybe worth removing the laptop battery for several minutes to see if this resets something - but don't hold your breath. Do you have access to another PC? If so, try making Macrium Reflect Recovery USB drive and booting from that your repair your PC boot partitions. Also, you could try the bootable recovery disk by Kyhi on this forum Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk
