Windows 10: Windows 10 Update Optional update Crashing my pc

Realtek Semiconductor Corp. - MTD - 10.0.19041.21339, this update has given me pure hell. Last time it was installed on my PC i had to clean install my windows 10 and now it has installed itself again. I turned off Windows 10 auto update so i have no idea how it happened. All i know is that it's in my windows update history and everything is going horribly wrong. My computer will be running fine for about 5 to 10 min then everything will start to slow down and crash. So i'm trying to uninstall it to an earlier version or reinstall it with antivirus off to see if that fixes it.


My specs are Ryzen 3900, Rtx 2070 and 32gb ram on Nvme.


Any help would be much appreciated.

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.

 

Windows 10 Creators Update Available for Download

Not sure about the games you listed but no probs with Dirt Rally and benching heavensward-bench here for me. I'm going to test 3DMark too in a few minutes.
