Windows 10: Windows 10 update & portable HD

My laptop's Hard Disk is nearly full, too full to install the March Windows update without downloading it to my portable SSD. The update installed successfully & then asked if I wanted to delete the previous version of Windows from my SDD. Can I do this without negatively impacting my computer? Thanks

Portable HD 1TB not reconized since Win10 Fall update

1TB SP Armor portable HD not recognized on 3.0 or 2.0 USB ports since Win10 Fall update. Ports will read USB flash drives. Also 1TB drive will read on another PC running Win 10 on both 3.0 & 2.0 ports. I have deleted drivers and reinstalled. Any suggestions
will be helpful. Thanks, Tom

 

Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7 & 8 (With Dolby Digital Live and DTS Interactive)

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
