  1. Windows 10 Update Removing Access to WiFi Networks

On 8th October, my laptop received that latest updates for Windows 10. However, after this, I noticed that two of my three wifi networks were no longer visible in the list of available networks. I went into my wife's study next to the router which transmits one of the missing networks, but still nothing. However, my wife's laptop same model as mine showed all 3 as normal. I Googled this problem and went to a Microsoft site which asked whether any updates had happened recently, and if so, uninstall them and see what happens.

I did this and now all 3 networks are back again. Now, my laptop is saying, of course, that there are updates pending. I've delayed this until the 16th Oct in the hope that someone can recommend a solution. I don't want these updates to happen again if they are going to mess up my wifi networks.

    :)

    Wifi networks not accessible

Every time windows 10 updates my computer I am unable to see or connect to available wifi networks. I try turning wifi on but the button keeps turning off. When I undo the windows 10 update, I can access wifi networks. I've done this at least 3 times!
I've tried several of the Microsoft suggestions and nothing fixes it except undoing the update.

  3. Why can I connect everything but this pc to my wifi network?

did you do the ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew commands..... also ipconfig /flushdns as well.

also make sure the wifi networks list has been updated.

you may also try "safely removing hardware" and then re-install it.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
