Windows 10: Windows 10 update ruined my Dell XPS 18 Touch

My computer no longer boots up after recent disasterous update.


First it started out with the switch between the external power supply and battery mode stopped working properly. With computer on, I would unplug from external power supply the computer would crash. Though I would be able to turn it on again on battery afterwards. BUT! To boot up either way would take anywhere up to an hour. The computer would bootloop for a while till it finally got to the log in screen.


After finally getting onto the desktop the computer still needed to sit for a while otherwise it was laggy and nonresponsive. I was not able to turn the computer off through the desktop without it failing to shut down properly crashing the computer and then the cycle of turning it on continued with bootloops and crashes.


NOW the computer had another update that failed because the computer needed to restart and as stated above the computer cannot boot up properly thus creating a conflict with between the update and the computer TRYING to boot up. The screen no longer recieves power at all and all i can hear are the fans ramping up slightly and slowing down constantly. Sometimes i cannot shut it down manually because it boots itself back up infinitely till the battery dies.


How do i fix this. Really loved this pc even though it is 7 years old it has never failed me, still fast, and worksed perfectly till now

According to Dell's official Windows 10 Creators Update page, the Dell xps 13 9333 is not listed as tested:

You can try a manual upgraded as suggested in my previous reply using the ISO in addition to the 12 steps before upgrading.

 

Win 10 update ruined my computer

I will gladly dispose of any "ruined computer" that Windows 10 has "ruined". Just ship them to me and I will take care of disposing of the "ruined" hardware!

Method 1: I suggest you to run the hardware and device troubleshooter
to check and fix issues with hardware and devices.
Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
• Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
  

Method 2: Update the touchscreen drivers manually from the Device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

1.Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
Device manager from the context menu.

2.Expand Human Interface Device option, right click on the touchscreen driver and select Update this software from the context menu.

3.Follow the on-screen instructions.
