Windows 10: Windows 10 Update Ruined My Sound >:(

I updated Windows 10 this morning and when I used my computer for the first time after that this evening, the sound wasn't working. If I just use the computer's speakers, absolutely no sound comes out whatsoever. If I use my earphones, there's a loud pop in the earphones for a second before I hear a consistent whirring sound.

I took pretty good care of my laptop. The sound was working perfectly just this morning and I left it on my desk until now. I tried reinstalling some drivers and restarting my device but it didn't work. Does anyone have a solution for this? I'd really appreciate it.

Win 10 update ruined my computer

I will gladly dispose of any "ruined computer" that Windows 10 has "ruined". Just ship them to me and I will take care of disposing of the "ruined" hardware!
