Windows 10: Windows 10 update screen res

Hi,


I bought an Acer Aspire 3 2 days ago, and had a windows update last night, so not sure how recent the update is, but my problem is that it seems to have locked my screen resolution. I was playing EU4 on the device yesterday, even though the graphics card doesn't meet the minimum spec, without any issue, but today it won't load. I believe that my device was automatically changing the screen resolution when loading the game to 1080 by whatever, now my screen res is 1900 x 1080 and greyed out so I can't change it. Can anyone help with this? Did the update cause the screen res to be locked? i didn't check before as I had no reason to. Either way, is there a way to change to resolution or enable the laptop to change the resolution automatically depending on the situation? The game ran without issue, so I'm at a loss as for why it won't work now

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
