Windows 10: Windows 10 update switched boot drives

I had my Dell Optiplex 3020 set up to boot from SSD with HDU as a secondary and bootable drive. Yesterday things were running fine; I left to run some errands, and when I got back, the system was running from the HDU it took me a while to figure that out. Windows now cannot identify the SSD; it knows it's there but says it needs to be initialized. While I was running errands, Microsoft installed these updates: KB5005463, KB4023057, KB809830, and KB5013887. Varying amounts of work 1-3 months are missing from the HDU, depending on whether I had copied it from the SSD. Would uninstall

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
