Windows 10: Windows 10 Update to 1809 and TEN DAY LIMIT!

Going back to a previous version of Windows 10 should not be LIMITED to 10 days AFTER update, I should have the OPTION of when to delete the WINDOWS.OLD FOLDER AND FILES!

Microsoft is trying to exercise too much control over MY PC!


Since the Windows 10 version rollout in October my Laptop has gone through the BSD, had to SPEND money on recovery usb's and NUMEROUS HOURS on restoring my system to where it was BEFORE WINDOWS 10 SCREWED IT UP!


Finally had it restored to version 1803 as Windows had HALTED 1809 rollout when the 1809 rollout happened on Nov 19,2018 my RESTORE POINTS were deleted, the rollout installed and has been running like crap ever since.


Today I decided to bite the bullet and "GO BACK TO PREVIOUS VERSION OF WINDOWS 10" well, not available as my update was "MORE THAN 10 DAYS OLD" and my previous version of Windows 10 IS GONE!


My laptop is now running SLOWER THAN MY 10 YEAR OLD VISTA, WITH MORE LAGS,FREEZE UPS, AND JUST FAILURES THAN I REMEMBER WITH DOS VERSION 3.01.


If you are going to build a better MOUSE TRAP YOU NEED TO FIRST MAKE SURE IT WILL CATCH MICE BEFORE UNLEASHING IT ON THE UNSUSPECTING PUBLIC!

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

Windows 10’s October 2018 Update (version 1809) Update Stuck at 42%

Windows 10 1809 is just a day old. My suggestion is to hold on till the first cumulative updates arrive.
