Windows 10: Windows 10 update version 1903 - Headphone Not Recognized

I'm a big fan of Windows 10, however, updating to the May version 1903, I lose headphone recognition.
When plugging-in the headphone I should see:
"Realtek HD Audio 2nd output (Realtek High Definition Audio) in Device Manager.
I do not see this with version 1903 and do see this with previous versions of Windows 10.

Before restoring to a previous version of Windows 10 (1803), I took steps to uninstall the Audio driver, restart, reinstall Audio driver to see if that would work - it did not.

Anyone else experienced this anomaly?

I'm running Windows 10 on an HP Z400 Workstation.

Window 10, Version 1903 May Update

1. Why are all of the links that you listed not completed. On my computer currently it has Windows 10 Home Version 1803, installed 6/29/2018 with O.S. Build 17134.799. It has used space of 187 GB and 257 GB of free space.

I attempted to install Version 1903 Manually, through Settings/Windows Update, Windows 10 Update Assistant, and other ways without success. I have spent the better part of the past 3 days trying to get this accomplished on my laptop. It has worked on my
PC but not on the laptop.

Listed below are the different error messages that I get after the download stops each time at 90% and converts back to previous settings:

a. Windows 10, Version 1903 error message (0x80240034)

b. We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0x800703fb)

c. We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0xC1900101 - 0x4000D)

d. Feature update to Windows 10, Version 1903, We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0x80070652)

If there are ways to get this latest update installed on my laptop, please let me know what I have to do in detail, step by step.

Headphones not recognized in Windows 10

Thanks for getting back to me.

• My computer is custom-build; it's a hodge-podge of various different parts. A friend built it for me, so I'm afraid I can't provide any specifics, as I don't understand what goes into PC building. The headphones are Koss UR20.
• I have not been able to use these headphones on this computer. In fact, I can't get any headphones to work on the computer.
• I'm not getting any error messages. I'm not getting any messages whatsoever. As far as I can tell, the computer does not recognize anything is plugged in.
• I don't think I've installed the latest Windows 10. My computer keeps trying to update, but gives me the following error messages:
  • Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709 - Error 0x8007007e
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.1 for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64 (KB4033393) - Error 0x8000ffff
  • Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4033631) - Error 0x8000ffff
  • Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4049411) - Error 0x8000ffff
• My PC's current OS build is 14393.953.

Headphones recognized as Speakers...

Hi Ahri,

Having your headphones recognized as speaker when plugged in at the back of your PC could be the reason why the audio is low. To help us isolate the problem, we suggest running first the audio troubleshooter from the link Fix
sound problems.

In case the issue persists, then let's remap or retask your Realtek audio jack and see if it addresses the issue. To do that, follow the steps below:

• Open the Realtek HD Audio Manager.
• In the back panel, right click the option where your headphone is connected.
• Choose the option Connector Retasking, then select Headphone.
