Windows 10: Windows 10, Update version 2004. Error code ---> Download error - 0x80240439

can you please advice me? I am working as a freelancer for a big company where I connect through VPN.


In this company they have been announcing the windows update. It seems that during this update they have made some system changes because since then end of june 2020 I have troubles with downloading all the Windows update, the error code 0x80240439.


I am not able to use Skype and Microsoft outlook because it looks like the internet connection is blocked since the last update. Can you please tell me what should I do? I contacted IT department several times but no relevant feedback from them.


The second picture is when I tried to download Mediacreation tool 2004 as it was recommended in the community forum. I am not able to run the application as well.

If you are referring to the two ideas you suggested, I tried them but didn't have any luck. That user's case is different to mine, as it tells him that he's up to date, but mine gives me the 0x80240439 error. If it is any help, I also get error -2145123271 in Windows Defender Protection Updates.

What version and build are you currently running (run winver command and post results)
