Windows 10: Windows 10 update, version 20H2 error Virtual box

Hi everyone,


I am having an issue on installing and updating my computer to the new version as stated on the title. It's asking me to delete and/or manually remove "Virtual Box" in my computer. I don't have such app installed in my computer. I already did try to do troubleshooting with one of your agents. I followed the instructions from this article from Microsoft https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/forum/insider_wintp-insider_install/keeps-asking-me-to-uninstall-virtualbox-when/6ef6e13a-047c-4fe4-bb0a-596be83ba169 , still nothing was resolved. We did a system restore to the previous update that I have and still, it won't let me go pass the new update Version 20H2 because of the non-existent Virtual Box that keeps on prompting. The system is forcing me to update to the new version yet I don't know how to delete "Virtual box" in my computer.


P.S. i'm not that techy.

Virtual Box Error


Hey guys!

I was trying to install Windows XP (also does the same for Windows 7) in Virtual Box within Windows 10, but there is an error before I can even open to ISO file.

Here are the settings I had set it in.

• Microsoft Windows XP 32-bit
• 756MB RAM
• Virtual Hard Drive of 20GB (VirtualBox Disk Image) (Dynamically allowcated)

Then I start the virtual machine. It asked me to boot from a drive or an image, I then clicked to search for the ISO file, but before Windows Explorer comes up I get an error message.

"Failed to open the session for virtual machine Windows XP. The virtual machine was aborted"

Virtual Box

Can someone help me, I'm having a problem in the virtual box in my windows 10 HP laptop it said it's a "failure to open a session for the virtual machine Windows 10 VM" in Windows 10. Can you tell me what to do, step
by step?

 

Clean install of W10 not possible in Virtual Machine.

You can do clean install with windows 10 but it won't activate on Virtual Machine at least it didn't on mine. I followed the proper steps to do that.

Again I will repeat what I did step by step with some additions.

Step 1 Installed windows 7 retail on a virtual box, it activated without issue.
Step 2 changed the virtual box description to windows 10
Step 3 upgrade to windows 10 and it activated without issue
Step 4 backed up (So I could go back to it later)
Step 5 Removed windows 10.
Step 6 created a new virtual machine
Step 7 Installed clean windows 10 and it didn't activate and did that error code see below.


@night-hawk had a similar issue and got the same error code

Error code: 0xC004C003 with the specified product key being blocked

Night Hawk does it make a difference on what version of Virtual box that you are using?

My testing was done on Xubuntu using VirtualBox Graphical user interface version 4.3.26-Ubuntu r98988
