Windows 10: Windows 10 Update Woke Me Up At Midnight. Argh!

20H2 I keep a laptop on a shelf right next to my bed, just inches from my face. At exactly midnight last night I was woken by a bright blue light in my face. Apparently I forgot to shut down my laptop at bedtime. Perhaps I only put it to sleep, instead of completely shutting it down. I reached over to turn it off, but on the screen was a warning to not shut down my computer. I'm assuming I was the victim of a peremptory Windows 10 update. Is there a setting that will tell Windows to ask my permission before updating? Will in Seattle a.k.a. "Clueless"

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
