Windows 10: Windows 10 update works but doesn't recognise disk

I updated at the weekend with the latest Windows10 update and the restart was OK. But then I shut down and rebooted and I just got a blank screen (with the pointer working), so I fired up task manager and it seemed that the system only saw the boot partition (disk usage was over 90%) and therefore had no disk space to do anything.


I have a 1 TB SATA disk drive and a 256 GB SSD. I've rolled back to pre-update and everything seems OK but I notice that the disk management doesn't seem to differentiate between my SSD and SATA drives. Still it all works but I'd like to know why the update doesn't!

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

Scanner doesn´t work anymore after last Windows 10 update


As many people on the internet already are discussing, their scanner doesn´t work anymore after the last Windows update. But there seem to be no solution.

My Scanner starts making noises, as usual, and then i get error messages: "Communication with the scanner is not possible"

Is there a workaround for that?

Re-install the TWAIN drivers? (They are not included in Windows.)

You might get a better answer if you gave the make and model of the scanner.
