Windows 10: Windows 10 update

My laptop (Ideapad 110s) only has 8gb of internal storage and I need 11gb for the latest windows 10 update. How do I get the option to use an external hard drive to perform the update as no option appears when I visit the Microsoft site?

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.
