Windows 10: windows 10 update

I find it so irritating that small things get changed for no apparent reason (my opinion). Then it takes days or longer to sort it out. After update, when I go to save a download (for instance) the folder that opens is sorted in "today" "yesterday"..."long time..". This is even if I sort the folder alphabetically. I get "today" alphabetically, etc.

This seems to be the default folder sort after the update. I was able to reset the folder display to pre-update when opening a folder directly but not able to reset the folder display when it is opened with a "save" on a download.

I would think that setting the main folder options would be transferred to all instances when a folder is displayed.

Irritating as I said. Any solutions would be welcome. Thanks

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.
