Windows 10: Windows 10 Update

Ive been trying to get my computer to update Windows 10. The last update was preformed sometime January 2019. It was updating last night but got unplugged and did not finish. Now, when I start the update it stops at “pending install.”

I ran a troubleshoot that showed I had pending downloads on the Microsoft Store. Removed those and restarted the computer but nothing. I’ve tried resetting the PC too but it comes up with an error and says no changed have been made. Ive been googling and youtubing and haven’t found anything that worked. The windows update took hours to run but comes up empty every time. Currently, on hold with Microsoft and trying again to see if I can reset it. The hold time is 2 hours at the least and I’ve been at this for the last two days and want to be done with it. Any help is welcomed.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.
