Windows 10: Windows 10 Update

The most recent Windows 10 update just put my PC into circling dots mode for hours. A microsoft tech guy gave me stuff to try but no joy. I finally got the thing into repair mode and was able to restore the system to the state just before the update. Sadly, the computer updated again and this time I could not restore it to the previous point, so I tried an earlier restore point. That resulted in all of my restore points disappearing from the machine AND eliminating the ability to even do a system reset. Now I'm stuck doing a reinstall. What gives?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.
