    Oh yes! I've just noticed that with the last few Windows 10 updates, Silverlight updates has failed. I've just removed it and now my question is, since it has been removed, will Windows 10 stop trying to update it. If there is further advice with this, please let me know. Thanks!

    I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with Silverlight on Windows 10.

    To assist you better, please provide us the information below:

    • When you say that "I tried to uninstall the program but the file", have you downloaded and install the Microsoft Silverlight on the computer prior to the issue? Why you want to uninstall Silverlight?
    • Are you getting any error message?
    • Are you facing issues with updating Microsoft Silverlight?

    MS have or are in the process of dropping support for Silverlight since they were mostly the only ones who used it. I would not bother with it. Hopefully they will update WU and remove it from there too.

    So does this mean then, since I have removed it that it will not try to update it any longer? In other words, will I not see the "failed to update" with regards to Silverlight?
