Windows 10: Windows 10 Updates Freeze at 30%

For about a year now I haven't been able to update my computer without factory resetting it. I try and update and the screen freezes at 30% without fail. I hard restart it three times like recommended and follow all of the steps on here for unfreezing updates and none of them work. My System Reserved drive has been fragmented at 25% long for as this has been happening. When I try to optimize it, it drops to 12%, but analyzing it again brings it back to 25% fragmented. Any suggestions?

Windows Vista Wont Install Freezes?

had the same problem, freezes and long installation including each step loading, in my case a bios update helped.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
