Windows 10: Windows 10 updates, keyboard setting changes to US from UK. After login it reverts to UK, why?

Whenever Windows 10 updates, instead of using my PIN, my sign in password is required. At least one character in my password is a '#'. On a UK Keyboard it is a separate key immediately left of the 'RETURN' key. When WIndows updates and requires my password, I cannot login as it does not recognise the key I press as being '#' but being an apostrophe! '#' is 'Shift + 3' on the US keyboard setup. WIndows then goes on to ask me to set up a PIN. After which my PC finishes setting up and the keyboard has reverted to my original setting as UK keyboard setup. Why? And how to I stop it?This maybe a f

Keyboard layout changes automatically from UK to US on Windows 10.

I'm having problems with my keyboard default in my work account. It keeps reverting to US whereas the languages, input, keyboard, location are all set to (and showing under settings) UK. The only way I can change it back to UK is to logout of my work account,
then login to my microsoft account (where the default UK settings do work) then log back into my work account. I'm then having to do this each time I turn on my PC.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Keyboard settings (UK layout not working)

I have a UK layout keyboard (shift + 2 is "), but my computer insists on using US layout (shift + 2 is @). I use a Corsair STRAFE keyboard.

• In iCue (Corsair keyboard app), the layout is set to UK.
• In Settings app, the system language is English UK. The Preferred language is English UK, and the keyboard has one layout, English UK.
  • If I add a US keyboard to it, and use Win + Space, two options show up to cycle through:
    • English (UK) - US Keyboard
      
    • English (US) - US Keyboard
• In Control Panel main menu, there is only 'Clock and Region,' not 'Clock,
  Language, and Region.'

Please any help would be great!

 

Enabled UK keyboard layout not working

Try the below steps and check if you are able to change keyboard to a UK layout. Follow the below steps.

• 
  Type Region on the search bar and click on
  Region and language.
  
• 
  Click on Add language and click on
  English and select UK eng.
  
• 
  Click on the UK English and click on
  Option.
  
• 
  Now click on add keyboard and select the
  keyboard.
