Windows 10: Windows 10 Updates

The most recent Windows 10 update keeps coming. You've tried to update my laptop about 20 times over the last few months. Each time the udpdate fails. My laptop initially came with Windows 8.1; I subsequently updated to Windows 10 The update was offered by you, free of charge. . I am inclined to think, but with no firm basis, that the update 'thinks' that my laptop is a cell-phone, and this is why it fails, but again this is just a guess.


In the end result, it is obvious that the update is not going to work. I want you to stop trying to update my laptop; It's a waste of my time and my laptop's computing power.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
