  1. Windows 10 updates

I purchased my Acer Aspire3 laptop with Windows 10 Home already installed - version 1709. It has never been able to install any feature updates, but would always install quality updates until about 3 months ago when it stopped doing that. I get repeated interruptions from Microsoft when I'm trying to use my laptop while it tries for the umpteenth time to install an update. This is an extremely unsatisfactory situation. Can anyone suggest anything I might try to cure the problem of being unable to install updates? Please don't suggest the built-in Microsoft Help because it simply doesn't, and I've already tried everything I can find on the Microsoft website, but to absolutely no avail. The system for downloading and installing a 'clean' version of 1709 doesn't work, neither does the recovery option.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
