Windows 10: Windows 10 Updates

I have a laptop that was purchased in 2018 but for personal reasons that aren't important, it stayed in the box until earlier this year. I have been using it off and on for a few months I don't often need a computer these days with little difficulty at first but gradually it has gotten slower and slower. I kept ignoring the messages about failed updates because I didn't want to take the time to figure it all out. I checked and this laptop is running Windows 10 Version 1709.Now the computer has become agonizing slow so I decided I needed to take care of the updates. Lo

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
