Windows 10: windows 10 upgrade from windows 8.1 pro with media center

when the first windows upgrade appeared I signed on for upgrade 26/07/2015 windows upgrade gave me a message saying everything on my laptop (pc) is ready to upgrade even all app not from Microsoft are compatible with windows 10
29/07/15 I had 5 failed upgrade Microsoft say I must do this

I did everything to the letter and have same stuff in
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Windows DVD player for windows 10

Upgraded from windows 8.1 pro to windows 10 pro, I had purchase Windows Media Center for Win 8, but it was not installed when I upgraded, how can I get the DVD player without having to reinstall windows 8.1 with Media Center and then upgrading again to
10, and having to reinstall all of my software, is there a way to do this?

And Media Center will be gone. It's not supported under Win 10.

Microsoft is supposed to allow you to download a free DVD player software soon, to replace that capability in Media Center.
