Windows Update stuck at 46%

I understand that the updates are stuck at 46% while trying to update Windows. However, it would be great if you can help us with the details requested below:

• How are you trying to update Windows?
  
• Are you trying to update the computer from an older version of Windows like Windows 7 or Windows 8.1?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  

I would suggest you to try running the Windows Update troubleshooter and see if that helps. Refer the article

If the issue persists, I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article

Troubleshoot problems updating Windows 10 and see if that helps.

Windows Update Stuck At 46%

Hello Everyone,

Recently Upgraded To Windows 10. The Forced Windows Update Is Stuck At 46% And No Update Is Now Downloading And Unable To Cancel Them As Well...!!

Kindly Help In This Matter.

Stuck in Windows 10 Upgrade

My computer seems to be stuck in a Windows 10 failed upgrade loop. I was running fine on a beta version of Windows 10, and then I came downstairs one morning to see it repeatedly booting, attempting to repair, then rebooting. The steps I've taken to diagnose are:

• Attempting to boot off a USB drive (with all drives disabled in BIOS) - this fails at the point of the blue windows screen
  
• Attempting to boot the machine itself and getting into "repair/safe mode" using F7
  
• Looking at the BIOS for obvious failures (e.g. RAM that should be there is missing) - nothing obvious is wrong.
  

I am fairly certain the build version was 9926. For many months, the system would attempt to upgrade, and then say "it failed" for some reason and roll back.

Suggestions for next steps?
