Windows 10: Windows 10 upgrade-Yahoo mail not working correctly

I have 2 desktops and 1 laptop. I bought the laptop with windows 10, use firefox and chrome and my 2 yahoo mail accounts no problem on the laptop, until a recent windows 10 update.

Now I have no contacts and I can't manually insert contacts, it won't save them.

I have 2 desktops both windows 7. I upgraded one in January. I don't normally use that computer so I was unaware of any yahoo mail issues.

I finally gave in and upgraded my daily use computer to windows 10 yesterday 9/3/20. I now have no Yahoo contacts and it won't let me

manually input them, it won't save them. So, Yahoo mail is affected on all 3 computers. I checked desktop 2 and there were no contacts there either.

I called Microsoft support today, they did all kinds of things...I don't want to use the mail app, I want to use Yahoo mail. Oddly when I switched over to desktop 2 suddenly the contacts were there and everything worked fine . Nothing had been done to that computer...it is configured

exactly like the computer I use daily. The laptop and the desktop still do not have Yahoo contacts are are able to save contacts.

No clue how I got them on desktop 2, no clue how to get them on laptop and desktop 1.

HELP.

Windows 10 Calendar won't display Yahoo Calendar events, but Yahoo e-mail works fine.

Hi Angela,

I deleted my Yahoo e-mail account, restarted Windows 10, add Yahoo e-mail account.

My Yahoo e-mail is working fine,

My Yahoo Calendar does not appear as a "Calendar" in the Windows 10 Calendar app, nor are any Yahoo Calendar events appearing in the Windows 10 Calendar app.

Any other ideas?

Since downloadintg Windows 10 (which I am quitre happy with), my Yahoo Mail screen and function has changed, I no longer am able to change the font or size of letters, neither am I able to access my address lists. OK individual addressees I can get therough
'contacts' on Yahoo mail, but I cannot access my pre-written address lists. How can I fix this..

Grateful for any suggestions

 

Yahoo email wont load correctly

I think that Patrizi R's suggestion is the best choice to try first JadedAK47. When you reset it up, use the automatic detection that Windows Phone offers when setting it up. That usually is the best choice. If it still does not work, then do it manually.



Yahoo Mail offers standard POP3 access for receiving emails incoming through your Yahoo mailbox, by using your favorite email client software. To setup your email client for working with your Yahoo account, you need to select the POP3 protocol and use
the following mail server settings:

• 
  Yahoo Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 465)

• 
  Yahoo Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - smtp.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 995)

If that does not work then I would see if Yahoo has any trouble shooting tips for mail. Look at this link for possible help:
