Windows 10: Windows 10 usable ram

So my hp pavilion 15 notebook has 6 gb ram and it says 3.19 usable, i fixed this by restoring bios to default settings and it turned to 5.19 usable but it happened again and i tried restoring bios to default settings and nothing happened, i need help

Maximum RAM usable on windows 10 x64

I've upgraded my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with 8GB RAM to Windows 10 Pro x64. But after upgrade to Windows 10 System Properties displayed that RAM detected is 8GB, but only 6,9GB usable. Why windows 10 x64 only detect 6,9GB RAM? In windows 7 8GB RAM detected

The reason your are not seeing the full 4Gb of ram is because this is by design, some of that space is used by you different hardware components and is not available to the operating system and applications. The amount you can use varies, depending on what
hardware you have installed, but can range from as little as 2GB to as much as 3.5GB. It's usually around 3.1GB, and you are very close to that.

The reduction in available system memory depends on the configuration of the following

• The devices that are installed in the computer and the memory that is reserved by those devices.
• The ability of the motherboard to handle memory.
• The System BIOS version and settings.
• The version of Windows 10 that is being used.
  
• Other system settings.

Note The amount of usable memory in the examples are not exact amounts. Usable memory is a calculated amount of the total physical memory minus "hardware reserved" memory.

Usable RAM reported is much lower than available RAM

I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 Pro. It recognizes my 8 GB of RAM but only shows 2.93 GB as usable. I went on line used the suggested msconfig to change the maximum memory in the advanced boot settings to 8192. it was set at 0. I also went into system
settings and turned off the automatic page filing size under the virtual memory settings. I save the settings and rebooted my computer by the changes to the maximum memory size did not take and were set back to 0. I've tried this several times but still only
get 2.93 GB of usable RAM of the 8 GB of available RAM reported. Any other suggestions on how to fix this issue would be appreciated
