Windows 10: windows 10, usb connected printer HP problems

windows 10, usb connected printer HP color laserjet enterprise m553 not seen on any usb port, also I cant add usb01port when trying to install the printer.This printer worked a few months ago, it was after an update that it stopped.I have uninstalled printers and drivers, used different usb cablesI have uninstalled driversI have gone into services and stopped the spooler and restarted itI have gone into device manager and even though I installed the printer its not being seen by device manager.I have verified that this printers is supposed to work on windows 10.I dont know why I can no longer

After installing Canon WiFi printer, HP usb printer can be found as a usb Other Device, but not as a usb Printer device

All the Windows 10 USB drivers are up to date.

The HP usb printer was working before the Canon WiFi printer was installed on the Windows 10 computer. The Canon WiFi printer connects via the gateway and doesn't connect directly to the Windows 10 computer.

The HP usb printer works fine when attached to a Windows 7 PC.

All of HP troubleshooting options eventually suggest that it's a Microsoft problem, the driver for the HP LaserJet 1018 is a Microsoft driver and can't be downloaded and installed from any HP source.

Is there a solution?

 

Mac OSX USB printer problem

OK i just bought the Canon IP4500 usb printer and installed it on the mac following hte instructions to the letter.

No printer is found and i cannot add it in the Printer list, cause theres no option for USB printer installation, only Appletalk, Bluetooth, and Windows Printing.

I have downloaded the latest drivers etc... but no luck *Bang Head :banghead:

As it is i dont like macs but now with a simple thing as this i dislike them even more.

Last resort is trying installing the printer on a Vista pc and see if it works, if it does then the mac is up to shit, if it does not install then the printer is up to shit.

Anyone had a similar problem maybe and how did you overcome it?

But it does ask you to connect the printer

11. Connect the USB cable to the product, and connect the USB cable to the computer. A Device driver software was not successfully installed window opens.

Step three:
3. Click the drop down menu, and then change the port from LPT1 to USB or DOT4.virtual

If you connect the printer in Step two #11 then maybe when you get to Step three #3 there will be USB port in the list.
