Windows 10: windows 10 User

Windows apparently has set up a folder in the User directory named TEMP that it is apparently using for sign in. The other two folders in User are Hal me and Public. The TEMP is causing all sorts of problems, such as I lose much of the desktop icons when I reboot. Can I just delete the TEMP folder so the Hal folder is used for login. Or how else do I resolve this problem

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Current active users that are friends

The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.
