As I've earlier reported, there seems to be a sudden increase in RAM usage since the last update to 20H2 (I think it is KB4598242 ).

Task Manager reports 7.4 GB RAM usage, but I just have a about 5 tabs in vivaldi, drawboard and task manager open. It should probably add up to a max of around 4GB. This seems absurd.

I've largely reduced the number of startup and background apps. This is draining battery life quite rapidly and the temps have increased on an average by around 10C (Running currently at 50C). Does anyone have a solution or is it a reported issue?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7 & 8 (With Dolby Digital Live and DTS Interactive)

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

    AMD FX OC'ers Club

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
