    I do not know if this is a necessary update, but it seems insistent on being installed, with pop-ups multiple times a day.


    I do not know if this is related, but a few days before, on 8-7, v.1903 x64 failed to install; but, on 8-17 after v.2004 failed on 8-14, it installed successfully.


    How do I get it to complete the installation of v.2004, or at least quit trying to? I am trying to avoid having to restore my computer. I am a long-time user of Windows, but not a very advanced operator.

    Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

    Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.

    V 10.0 build 10240

    Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

    Maybe try with the Windows update mini-tool, found here http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/t...dows-10-automatic-updates-and-spyware.218745/ , thanks to Mussels. it installed perfectly for me last night.
