Windows 10 v1703 DVD Command Prompt and access to the LAN

    Hi

I'm using the Windows 10 v1703 DVD Command Prompt to connect to my LAN but I can't do it.

I tried to start the Workstation service with the command:
net start workstationbut, then, when I ping to a computer (using its IP), I see that all the data sent is lost. Why?

    Thanks

    Bye

    :)

    Ciao,

if you have access to another computer to build a DVD/USB stick using media creation tool, you can follow the below:

  3. How do i use the command prompt to access wireless in safe mode? - Thread moved to a more appropriate forum category.

    Hello Susan,

To exit Safe Mode, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows + R key.
    • On the text box, type msconfig and click OK.
    • Select Boot tab
    • Remove the check mark on Safe Boot.
    • Click OK and reboot your PC. Your PC should now boot in normal boot.
You can also access Safe Mode with Networking using the Command Prompt. Just type
bcdedit /copy {Current} /d "Windows 10 Safe Mode with Networking" then hit
    Enter.

Windows 10 v1703 DVD Command Prompt and access to the LAN

There is no way to run Windows from a DVD, other than for rescue. You should not have to start anything to get SMB/CIFS to work. If you are losing your IP, do a hard reset on your router to flush the IPtables and allow that and all other devices to connect.
