Windows 10: Windows 10 v1803 cant update

Hi everyone,I have a pc with windows 10 version 1803 which I have not used in about 2 years. I am trying to update it now but its not allowing me to do so. I cannot access services and get a mme.exe application error. I tried a few different things including the following but no luckPress Windows key + S and type Command Prompt then run it as administrator. Type DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and press Enter. Once it's done, type sfc /scannow and press Enter. Restart your computer.

What is the latest stable build of Win10 ?

If your not willing to run the latest V1803 build then I'd suggest sticking to v1709 from here http://windowsiso.net/windows-10-iso/windows-10-creators-update-1709-download-build-16299-15/ pick the one most applicable to you

 

Windows 10 1803 doesn't play nice with some Intel SSDs

Intel SSD problem seems to be resolved by installing the KB4100403 cumulative update for v1803.

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
