Windows 10 V1903: The ‘broken’ defer update options

    Hi!
Since May 2019 Update there is the problem that if you enter Values (Days) on Advanced Update Options in Windows 10 Pro to delay the "Feature Updates" and "Quality Updates" for more than 0 Days, these options will disappear completely at the next reboot.

If you enter the value "0" Days again via registry keys, the option appears again.

When will this bug finally get fixed?

    Bestreg

    Eric

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.

Windows 10 Pro v1903 missing "Defer Updates" option if value was set when upgraded

If you had a non-zero value set for the "defer feature updates" option in Windows 10 Pro prior to upgrading to v1903, that option no longer appears in the "Advanced Options" Windows Update settings section after the upgrade. A number of people have noticed
this. Is this being looked into?

    Thanks,

How to defer updates/upgrades on Windows 10?

    Answer

I'm surprised that nobody in this discussion knows how to defer updates in Windows 10. I recently performed a clean install of Windows 10 in a VM and updated to the Anniversary Update before going back to Insider Preview.

The steps on how to defer updates for the
    Anniversary Update are:
