    Windows 10 v1903 to v1909 Failures


    Did your organization have issues moving from 1903 to 1909? If so, did you locate one or more causes that you could share?

    We're moving from 1903 to 1909 via the Enablement Package so that we can continue to get security updates. (Organization is risk averse and is always the caboose in updates.) Lots of PCs have performed this low risk upgrade just fine, but we just jumped into double-digits for failures this week without any failures before this week. About 50% can be repaired using the normal repair processes, but the others have to be reimaged. There is no pattern that we can discern (different models of PCs but for every model that has a failure there will be others of the same model that upgraded successfully. I have seen a few posts of issues here and there with the upgrade, but no follow-up to indicate if they found the root cause.
