Windows 10 ver 18362 Network File Sharing is Not Working

I have a total of 2 PCs on my home network with 2 SmartTV Both PC are update

    Here is my problem:

When I click on Network in file explorer:

Both 2 PC sees each other on my network

1st PC see 2nd PC and can access the files on the 2nd PC

2nd PC only see the name of the 1st PC but can not access any file on 1st PC

I've checked the advanced network settings on all of the PCs in control panel and all are set to Private Network and to allow other PCs to recognize it and to allow file sharing. I even removed password protection thinking that might help,

The problem exists with or without firewall.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    :)

Were you using HomeGroup? MS has "improved" that feature out of Win10 Version 1803.

The link(s) to non MS-page(s) appears to be providing accurate, safe information. I suggest you stick with the “manual” instructions. Unless I explicitly suggest it, avoid downloading their “utilities”. Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site
before you decide to download and install it. Sometimes they include 3rd party programs, "unwanted" programs that are automatically installed during a standard install. So, if offered, do a "custom" install and carefully read each step. One of the steps MAY
give you an option to install, or NOT, "additional" programs. 99.9% of the time you don't want to let them be installed. For example, when you install Adobe Player you are given the option of installing 2 additional "free trial" programs: Potentially Unwanted
Programs: MacAfee Security Scan and MacAfee Safe Connect. The option to install is turned on, you have to manually turn it off. Those are PUP's. If you click "OK"/"Next" without paying attention you get the 2 "extra" programs.

As well, watch out for ads on the site. They may advertise products that include PUPs. Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

Windows 10 ver 18362 Network File Sharing is Not Working

Need Help With File Sharing over a network

this can definitely be made to work, as i do it in my house easily.

that said, there is so many steps along the way you've ignored and not told us about, you REALLY need to go back to the basics and start from scratch.

share a folder, and see if you can connect manually via the IP address of the system.

do NOT ever expect the shares to magically just show up in the networking section of windows XP, that was an old, buggy, almost useless feature that never really worked right.
