Windows 10: Windows 10 version 1809 re-release some? all? group policy edits not working anymore

I am specifically referencing these changes I made in gpedit.msc Computer Config>Admin Templates>Windows Components>Search:

-Allow Cortana

-Do Not allow web search

-Don't search the web or display web results in search


This use to disable web search results from the windows start menu, doesn't seem to work anymore.


I fresh installed Windows 10 Home on a completely new PC/HD. At first it said it couldn't open gpedit.msc, I did this https://www.itechtics.com/easily-enable-group-policy-editor-gpedit-msc-in-windows-10-home-edition/ and was able to open gpedit.msc made changes and saved but did not apply them.


I updated my own PC to Windows 10 Pro version 1809 and any gpedit.msc eidt I made reverted back to default. After putting my settings back it did not disable the web search results from the start menu.


I tried making new accounts, running everything as administrator, etc. to no avail.


Any fix, or should i revert back to an older os version. Thanks

GROUP POLICIES IN WINDOWS 10

You can change Group Policies by opening Group Policy Editor first. You can open it by following these steps:

• Log in an administrator account. If you are already logged in as an administrator, proceed to step 2.
  
• Press Windows + R to open Run.
• Type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
  

After opening Group Policy Editor, you can now make the necessary changes that you want.

Windows 10 1809 update release

Insiders are testing a modified release of Windows 10 1809 feature update and the release will happen in due time. The Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 Pro N edition (1809 build) will be available for download once the feature update is pushed.



The new official release of the Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 Pro 1809 N edition will be listed under
Media Feature Pack list for Windows N editions once released.
