Windows 10: Windows 10, version 1809 shut downs my laptop when i hibernate

Hi,


this is happening quite often that when I press power button for hibernate and later powers on I found that my laptop was actually shut down instead of hibernate.


This was never happened before and it is happening since I update my windows to 1809 patch.


any help or suggestion will be appericiated.

Shutting down, hibernating, or sleeping?

Speaking of ... I just built a new PC with an AMD Kaveri and Windows 7 64 and the option sleep is greyed out, I get shut down and hibernate; it's funny, on my PC (see specs) I get sleep and shut down not hibernate. I tried the bios but I'm clueless. Any ideas?

 

Laptop not Shutting down Nor Hibernating


Hi Everyone
I have HP elitebook 8460P Core i5 Second generation laptop.
And I installed windows 10 32bit.
But there is a big problem.
And the problem is that , that when i am clicking on shut down, shutting down screen appears. and after that My PC's screen become black, and for many hours screen is black, Until my Laptop's battery became very low, And when my Laptop's battery Empty, Then is automatically off.
That's why?
And what will be the solution for this.
I also changed the whole windows , but in this new windows two or three times my Laptop was shut down, but now , the problem is remain same.
And this problem also occurs in hibernating, When i click hibernate screen goes black, and black forever, Until battery is completely go to Empty.

 

Laptop shuts down instead of hibernate after October 2018 Update

Hello! After updating to version 1809 (build 17763.1) my laptop does not hibernate: each time when I close the lid or press the button 'Hibernate' in the Start menu computer shuts down. How could I fix it? Thank you!
