Windows 10: Windows 10, version 1909

1 Please can anyone tell me why Windows 10, version 1909 takes so long to update I started a 7pm last night and by midnight it had only updated 23% so i rolled back then turned off updates this morning when I went to security i find windows are force installing it after reading all the problems can i force stop this happening or would i be better doing a factory restore which looks like Windows 8.1

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
