Windows 10: Windows 10 Version 2004 - Intel 82579V Gigabit Network Connection not immediately loading...

I was initially running Windows 10 Pro version 1909, on a custom built rig, with Gigabyte X79-UD3 rev 1.0 motherboard, which has the onboard Intel 82579V Gigabit Network Connection, connected via wired ethernet. Everything worked as expected with regards to the Ethernet Adapter, in that after powering the machine ON from OFF state, or after a reboot, on the login screen, the little Ethernet icon in the bottom right immediately shows "connected", and the icon is one that looks like a monitor, attached here:



After logging in, I have ethernet connection straight away, and all is fine. For reference, the driver loaded for this device "IntelR 82579V Gigabit Network Connection" is thus:



This appears to be the driver downloaded from windows update automatically.


I decided to try the update to version 2004, and the behaviour of the NIC has changed. On the windows login screen, at first the ethernet connection is now a Globe icon and with a little circle with a line across it, like this:



This icon will change to the usual "Ethernet connected" icon has I had uploaded above previously, after a few seconds or so, whether I have logged in or not. Sometimes as a result of this, my onedrive will not be signed in. This behaviour repeats itself after rebooting, or shutting down and powering back on. I have also tried some other drivers:

1. The latest version on the Gigabyte website, which is the "IntelR Network Connections Software Version 20.2" released June 2015.

2. The latest version from Intel, the "IntelR Network Connections Software Version 25.1.1" dated April 22 2020 - for this, using the autorun.exe to install the drivers didn't work, as it told me that no Intel Network devices could be found, so I manually installed "e1c65x64.INF" in device manager.


For each of the above, the problem remained. I even uninstalled vmware player on the assumtion it might have been conflict with the virtual network drivers, but that didn't change anything. On each occasion I had fully uninstalled the "IntelR 82579V Gigabit Network Connection" in device manager before installing a new driver.


In the end I reverted to the old Version 1909 build, and everything is back to the way it was, with the Ethernet connection being "Connected" immediately upon restart or cold boot. Has anyone else experience something similar? Is this behaviour to be expected now with this new build, or is there a problem of some sort?

Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection resetting

For quite a while I've been experiencing a problem where my Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection disconnects itself at will.I've been trying to fix this with no problem via a driver update from Intel which gave no success,so any advice on how to stop
it from doing this?I enlose the error log below in text form.

Win 10 will not load intel network driver 82579V

After upgrading from Win7 to Win10, the Intel driver 82579V cannot install automat. when starting the PC.

Win10 is loading the wrong Intel Network driver 82579LM instead of 82579V.

I allready contact to my Mainboard Supplier Asus and also to Intel to find a solution.

Asus and Intel know this Problem, is coming from Windows.

The Problem can only disappear by by doing an manual driver update from a list in the device manager. After this Win 10 is detecting the correct driver. By starting the PC again, the problem with the wrong driver returns. That means by starting the PC allways
the driver has to installed manually from the driver list in the device manager.

I think there is a bug by loading the correct driver.

Add. driver: try to run the Intel driver version from 22.10 - 24.5.0.0. with no positiv result.

 

Ethernet connection on Intel 82579V Gigabit fails on start-up until I uninstall the device and Scan for Hardware Changes

I think it is the problem of windows. After updating to Windows 10 build 14986, My Intel 82579V Gigabit fails on start-up. This is also not my problem, My friends who have Intel 82579V Gigabit network adapter face same problem.
