Windows 10: Windows 10 Version 2004 (No errors, doesn't actually install)

Hello,

I'm sure plenty of questions have been asked about this update but I could not find the specific issue I am having.

A few weeks ago I tried to update to 2004 but the computer got a BSOD while updating and after restarting it reverted back to previous version and the option to upgrade was missing. I read that Malwarebytes could cause an issue so I uninstalled it, but the option to upgrade did not reappear. As a note I use Bitdefender but it was just installed on the computer and set to not automatically come on.

Recently, the option popped up again so I had tried to update. This time I left in the morning as it was configuring (after a reboot) and when I came back I logged in but found the upgrade did not go through and it was still an option to download and install. It did not show any kind of failure message.

I tried again today and I finished installing it and rebooted. However, when checking my OS version it still says I have 1909 and I no longer have the issue to update.

Anyone have an idea what the issue may be?

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

I deleted all my data. I had have it backed up.

I did a clean installation using the windows media creation tool (usb option).

No, I didn`t. I thought a clean installation would solve the problem.

After posting my previous message, I did it.





After chkdsk, I close cmd and tried to boot and the laptop just turned it off. This morning I`ve restarted it and automatically windows did a repair. Windows has booted and it seems that the repair tool has removed chrome and acrobat pdf reader (the only two programs I had installed after reinstalling windows).

Now Windows is installing updates and restarting my lapop, I`m kind of frightened. I don`t want it to happen again. Anyhow, I want to know what has brought the issue

I`ve been looking for information about the error code at the end of the picture and I didn`t get anywhere.

Step 3:

Run the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant & then click Update now.

Step 4: It will start downloading the update and also shows the percentage of download.
