Windows 10: Windows 10 version 2004 slowdown

Yesterday I installed a brand new SSD into my laptop and installed a fresh Windows, but an older version pre-1903 so I had to update a lot to get to 2004.

My computer was super snappy and opened everything fast, but then when 2004 finished installing, opening windows explorer takes 2 seconds longer and every process takes longer in general.

What's the reason?

Why are recent versions so slow???

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 slowdown

Hi Aman,

There are some factors that may cause the computer to slowdown, corrupt Windows system files, is one of the factor that can slow down the computer and cause other problems.
