Windows 10: Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems KB5028166 - Freezing when Idle

Hi,After installing the recent Windows 10 update I'm experiencing PC freezing without any error messages or warnings. In the most recent instant of this occurring, I experienced serve lag and glitches before it froze when opening the task manager to determine what the issue is:At the moment I've uninstalled the recent update to the previous version when freezing wasn't occurring. Seemed to fix the issue.

Why would an in-place Upgrade solve this problem? I did all the steps listed here but not the in-place update. The error I see in the Windows update window is "Download error - 0x8024401c" for 2023-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5023706). Its been logging this error since 3/17/2023

Note that on 2/15 everything seemed fine:

2023-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022845)

Successfully Installed on 2/15/2023

2023-02 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5022497)

Successfully Installed on 2/15/2023

 

How to get the Windows 10 2022 Update version 22H2  

If you can't install it from windows update you can try to install it manually, it's the same KB5015684 obtained with windows update.

Do dism and sfc /scannow commands before and/or after installing it.

booted up my PC as usual (Windows 10 22h2) after work and found this Information event in the Event Viewer; it lists exactly as the title describes "The program or feature "\??\C:\Windows\System32\Upfc.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibity with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available."

is this harmless or is something wrong...? I checked through Event Viewer, this event has happened once before back in early April apparently. I do have 2 pending updates for restart: "Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64 (KB5028937) " and "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5028166)"

could this just be a matter of an update being required?
