Windows 10: windows 10 - video_tdr_failure (atikmpag.sys)

I've upgraded my laptop from W7 to W10 and after that I always get this error "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered", my laptop freezes for a few seconds. And then last week it hangs but didn't recovered as it always been doing. It gave me BSOD with this error "video_tdr_failure (atikmpag.sy. Can anyone help me with this error??

Need to know if my ATI driver can ever be updated to new AMD graphics or not.

 

Can anything go wrong if I uninstall my display adapter in safe mode?

In your opinion, should this fix the video_tdr_failure (atikmpag.sys) problem?

Please uninstall everything of AMD using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from your manufacturer. Be sure to ONLY install the drivers using custom/advanced options.

i didn't get any license message or any error other than the red-text above.

 

Try following below and run the dm log collector again after completing.
This is for the activation seeing there is some data corrupted/missing.

Please try following:

• Open an admin command prompt
• Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
• When it finished reboot your system
• Open again an admin command prompt
• Enter sfc/scannow again

If sfc/scannow does NOT say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation" after the second SFC, please upload the cbs.log file located at {windows partition}\Windows\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.
