Windows 10: Windows 10 - Videos Freeze after fast forward.

i had asked a similar question before, but the suggestion I received did not work.HP 255 G4 Notebook 4.0 RAM 850 GB Hard drive AMD A8-7410 APU Processor 2.20 GHZ - AMD Radeon R5 Graphics I download videos from YouTube and other sites to do clip and do compilations. When I download a video and view it with Windows Media Player, or Movies&TV or VLC i fast forward thru the opening credits to find the actual information I want. Whether I fast forward manually, or use the FFWD of the player once I get to where I want, the video will freeze. No video, no audio, but if i look at the time--

Videos pause whenever I fast forward them.

When ever I fast forward a video it freezes. Happens on all video players on new computer.

 

Unable to fast forward videos

I have video files recorded with my JVC video recorder (.MOD format).

When I play these videos using Roxio Videowave, VLC Media Player or Clipchamp I can fast forward, but not with Windows Media Player.

After merging a number of files and creating a video file (.MPG) with Roxio Videowave or Clipchamp, I can fast forward the files with VLC Media Player, but not Windows Media Player.

If I burn a DVD, the film will not fast forward on my DVD player.

I have run the Windows Media Player troubleshooters and re-registered DLL files. No change.

A couple of years ago everything worked correctly.

Anyone any ideas ?

 

fast forward

I open the camera app on my pc to take videos, but when I open the videos up in photos they only play in fast forward. What do I do?
