Windows 10: windows 10 volume on microphone keeps adjusting up or down

Using built in microphone on computer not adding external mic - Windows 10


I spent a number of hours reading and looking for this solution.

My volume of my microphone (built in) was changing the level on its own. I see other had problem with it going to 0 and I had the reverse where it went up causing a feedback loop and an echo.


I have spent hours trying to adjust levels and all only to see them reset to 100% on the slidebar on their own.


Right mouse on sound icon in tool bar

click on sounds

Click on communications tab along the top

uncheck everything...Muting, lower volume...

Check:

"Do Nothing"


That was the problem.

Now I can set the level and it stays at that level


Before it was trying to "mute the outside noise if got from the mic to the speaker...other devices.

Microphone problem Windows (8/10)

To resolve your microphone issue, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Click Windows + S then type Speech Recognition on the search bar.
• Click Set up microphone and follow the Microphone setup wizard.
• When you reach Adjust the microphone volume, please note if the volume bar moves from yellow to red.
• Once the Setup wizard is complete, we can check if the microphone works properly. We can eliminate hardware problem from the possible causes of the issue. Please check to if the issue persists in the Third-party software.

Problem with microphone adjust.


When iam using microphone and speaking the volume of the microphone being lower.
1.I've removed auto-adjust from skype.
2.I have the latest version of realtek audio.
3.I have the latest driver version of my microphone.
4.Selected "Do nothing" at "Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Sound".
5.And also this

still auto adjusting the microphone and no one can hear me good.
How can i unadjust the microphone?
